The evening starts in a traditional Simit Bakery. Simit is a bread roll covered with grape molasses and sesame seeds. Taking your simit you'll then visit one of the local kiraathane - which means reading rooms. It's ultimately a coffee shop with lots of mustached men playing cards or backgammon. After having Turkish tea, you'll then visit Ocakbasi, a self service barbecue restaurant where you sit by a roaring fire, grilling your kebabs along with a glass of Turkish Raki.
Continuing on this gourmet journey, you end up in a Meyhane, Tavern, where you taste "Meze", drink "Raki" and listen to the live Turkish Music performed by Gypsy Musicians.
If you think that's all the night has in store for you, you are very wrong!
You'll enjoy Iskembe Çorbasi, Tripe Soup, the same way the Turks do, completing their evening after having their fill of Turkish Raki. No Turkish Night is considered complete without tasting Türk Kahvesi, Turkish coffee. Sounds tasty doesn't it?
